You did not answer my question. I know the KE16 only has one CAN module. My question is, which one? It's kind of important to know if you're laying out a board, because the CAN0 and CAN1 don't use the same pins. Does the KE16 have CAN0, or is it CAN1?

This might be a silly question, but it's not very clear from the documentation. The KE16 has one FlexCAN channel. I'm assuming that means it only has the CAN0 channel, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't CAN1 since the reference manual covers KE18 as well, which has both channels.

Hi davidsherman,

Please feel free to ask the technical questions, you are always welcome!

MKE16 series just contains one CAN module, but MKE18 has 2 CAN modules:

Hi davidsherman,

Sorry for making your confusing, normally, if just one module, from number 0.

So, to the KE16, it is CAN0.

You also can use the CFG tool to check it, you can find it contains CAN0:

The CFG tool can be downloaded from this link:

www.nxp.com/mcuxpresso

Wish it helps you!

If you still have questions about it, please kindly let me know.

Best Regards,

kerry
