More examples on using PWM on the TWR-KV58F220?

I'm currently using Mcuxpresso and I have downloaded the corresponding SDK for the board,

after importing the PWM driver example all I get is 3 outputs with different duty cycles,

I get 25% 50% and 70%, curiously the example says 3 phase PWM and the outputs are all in phase.

In the reference manual there is little to almost no information about getting the phase shift configuration,

and the VAL1 to VAL5 registers are all fixed to zero in the example,modifying them is pointless.

I have come across with this many times, the examples are always incomplete.

Can someone please point me to a good reference for this?

This is the only page of the reference manual about this mode, so from what I understand VAL4 and VAL5 needs to be modified, but in the example no matter what you do all you get is all of them set to zero.
