tera term tutorial

While watching the a video on setting up the Freedom Development Board, I was directed to go to the tera term tutorial. Once tera term was installed and the serial port set up I was to see data flowing. I did not see data flowing. I was able to press the reset button on the development board and see a menu from the development board. I selected a few of the menu options and nothing happened.

I am also including a screen shot of the menu sent to the computer from the development board.

I contacted the chat line and was told to post it here.

Has anyone else had such problems and if so is there a solution or is this something I should just ignore for now and just try the IDE?

It looks to be working but I think the pre-installed demos interact much on the UART.
