Hi

I expect that IAR doesn't give this tool integrated because they don't want foreign binaries to be loadable. If you have a license you can ask IAR support to be sure.

Usually your debugger manufacturer will include a binary programming utility with the tool (eg. P&E or Segger) and this is often the easiest to use and most reliable method.

KDS has it built in but I never managed to get it to work (one may need a master's degree in Eclipse to get some of that stuff to operate). You could get hold of the older CodeWarrior 10 for Kinetis since it has a nice flash utility built in that is much easier to use and works surprisingly well. Since both CW and KDS will gradually be dumped, also look at the new MCUXpresso V10 because I expect that that will have such a tool integrated into it (unless the developer's forgot that engineers need to be able to do things like this). It is NXP's flag-ship development environment (which I haven't actually used yet) and presumably be the best maintained - at least until the next round of take-overs and strategy changes (RIP Interniche, MQX, CW7, CW10, KDS, PE, etc.....).

Regards

Mark
