Hi,

I am testing demo application for now. And have the following questions:

1) KV58F220M can work on 240Mhz as well? If not, what is the maximum frequency on this?

2) In the demo project, it is set to 235.7Mhz, is it any reason why not set to 240MHz?

Thanks,

Christie

Hi, Christie,

Pls go to the website:

ARM Cortex-M7|Kinetis KV5x Real-time Control MCUs|NXP

all of KV5x can work in 240mhz at most in high speed run mode.

Because the TWR-KV58 uses external 50MHz external clock source, and the PLL input clock frequency must range from 8mhz to 16MHz, so this is the PLL configuration

VCO output clock frequency=(50MHz/4)*19*2=475MHz, PLL output clock frequency is 475MHz/2=237.5MHz.

The external 50mhz clock source is populated on the TWR-KV58 board and it is the clcok souce for Ethernet.

Hope it can help you

BR

XiangJun Rong
