Hi CLAUDIO LUIZ KUNDE,

 Thank you for your post.

Actually, in normal usage, both of the recommendation is ok.

But if you need to get certification in EMI/EMC tests, we suggest you refer to the datasheet:

Connect VREGIN and VOUT33 together and tie to ground through a 10 kΩ resistor. Do not tie directly to ground, as this causes a latch-up risk.

About the divergent problem, I will report it to the document department.

Thank you again!

Have a great day,
Kerry

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.

Hello guys,

The datasheet and reference manual has divergent information about USB regulator when you don't want to use it.

The datasheet says to tie VREGIN and VOUT33 to GND using a 10K resistor.

The reference manual says to remain these pins floating. (see the picture)

My board need to get certification in EMI/EMC tests.

Which information should I follow?

Thank you!
