Hardware needed to interface the adc for KL43z?

Hello,

I'm using the KL43z, trying to do ad-conversion. I'm using processor expert. I've written this code:

Though, when I vary the voltage to ADC0_SE0/PTE20, it results in only three different values. I am varying the voltage between 0 and 5 V and I am only getting back three or four different values at various spots.

I'm wondering if I need to put in a capacitor or some sort of hardware circuit to interface the adc.
