Configuring N25q_256 to QuadSPI mode in K82F

I am having problem in configuring the N25Q256A flash from micron that comes with TWR-POS-K81. I have tried

1. Clearing bit 3 of the Nonvolatile Configuration Register.

2. Clearing bit 7 of the Enhanced Volatile configuration register.

But both the methods doesn't seem to work.

Reading both the registers after setting those bits again give me the old values. I set the WEL in the status reg before programming these two registers.

If any sample code to initialize the N25Q256A flash to QuadSPI will be greatly appreciated.
