K21 serial MCU JTAG Instruction

Question,

1. MK21FN1M0VMC12 and MK21FN1M0VLQ12 JTAG Instruction is the same?

2. The PDF(K21 Sub-Family Reference Manual) JTAG section equal MK21FN1M0VMC12 and MK21FN1M0VLQ12 JTAG Instruction?

Supports: MK21DX128VLK5, MK21DX256VLK5, MK21DN512 VLK5

I can download to MK21FN1M0VMC12 , but I can`t download to MK21FN1M0VLQ12 .... (Use TWR-K21F120M Tower Module)

I think maybe is JTAG Instruction not equal...:smileyconfused:

Hi,

the JTAG instructions set is same for MK21FN1M0VMC12 and MK21FN1M0VLQ12.

I dont exactly know what is the problem on your side, are you using a J-Link to program the device?

or are you using the OS-JTAG debugger integrated on the board to program the MCU, if so, then, how do you change the MCU on the board?

please give me more description!

Hi, Li:

I using the OSJTAG download to MCU, the development board is TWR-K21F120M Tower Module

detail process:

1. OPEN TWR-K21F120M - J8 let MCU(MK21FN1M0VMC12 ) no power.

2. Connect J1(JTAG) to my design board (MCU: MK21FN1M0VLQ12), there is pin to pin.

3. Connect microUSB cable to J2 and power on.

4. CodeWarrior 10.6 download to my design board.

5. fail, find OSJTAG but not find MCU(MK21FN1M0VLQ12).

Only TWR-K21F120M downloaf is OK.
