TWR-K60D100M USB problem

Can anyone help me with a problem I have trying to get the USB port on the TWR-SER board to work as a CDC device...?

I've checked links on the TWR-SER board and they are correct;

and tried using both the virtual com port and the mouse example but neither work.....and by working I mean that when I plug the mini-usb connector to a spare USB port on my laptop, the laptop just doesn't see it.

I've tried another laptop - but that made no difference.

I know the port on the TWR-SER card works, as when I tried the HVAC demo, the boards respond when the USB stick is plugged in it enumerates and mounts the disk.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be really appreciated.
