Differences bewteen AWIC and WIC?

Hello experts,

does anyone tell me the differences between AWIC (Asynchronous Wake-up Interrupt Controller) and WIC (Wake-up Interrupt Controller)?

WIC is described in the ARM's reference manual as a part of CPU component.

However, there are not words of WIC in the Kinetis reference manuals. Instead there is AWIC.

Why it is not WIC but AWIC?

Or, those are the same?

They are not the same, the AWIC has the advantage that it can wake up the system without a clock.
