Hi

I would check that the OpenSDA software installed is correct for debugging.

Go to the P&E site and download the latest Pemicro OpenSDA debug update apps: P&E Microcomputer Systems

There is one for your board called MSD-DEBUG-TWR-K64F120_Pemicro_v114.SDA and if you upgrade to this one (according to the details on that page) you may find it then works.

For some reason the boards are delivered with a Mass Storage loader programmed (it does say Mass Storage / Debug App above but I don't think that it means that it can be used as debugger (?). I have about 10 boards with OpenSDA and had to reprogram all of them first to be able to work with the debugger - after programming (which is thankfully simple) all worked fine.

Note for people who use Rowely Crossworks: this IDE used CMSIS-DAP_OpenSDA.S19 which is contained in contained in the KL25 quickstart package - see FRDM-KL25Z: Freescale Freedom Development Platform for Kinetis KL14/15/24/25 MCUs I believe the single file is suitable for all processors (but not fully sure at the moment since I only tested it on the KL25 'till now).

Regards

Mark

Hi all,

I just got a TWR-K64F120 for the larger RAM.

I installed the Freescale_MQX_4_0_TWRK64F120M.

When I try to download the hello sample code to it through OpenSDA, it does not work.

When I checked the OpenSDA information, it shows

From the link First Steps with the Freescale TWR-K64F120M | MCU on Eclipse, I also tried connect J39, but it still does not work.

Then I tried to use the Multilink Universal Debugger, no matter with J39 and J16 connected or not, it shows

and sometime the power LED is not on the LED D3 is blinking.

I am confused.

Any one has some ideas about this?

Thank you.

-Daniel
