    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have a question regarding the &lt;EM&gt;LCDIF General Control2 Register.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We had to modify the OUTSTANDING_REQS bitfield from REQ_2 to REQ_8 in order to avoid screen shifts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the RM it says: "This bitfield indicates the maximum number of outstanding transactions that LCDIF should request when it is acting as a bus master."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What does that mean exactly?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is requested?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do 2 and 8 outstanding requests differ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Johann&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
