And which silicon versions are suitable for our application? We may prefer a smaller RT device like RT1060.
For the RT1060 I assume we need the B-version because of the USB-Bug-fix.
But as far as I know the RT1010, RT1020, RT1040 and RT1050 series do not have B-version silicon. Do they have the same core as the RT1060, and thus the same USB bug for isochronous transfers?

Hi,

I want to create an audio product that needs to input a large number of audio channels through USB. So I want to use UAC2 for this.

I noticed that the USB controller had some isochronous problems in early RT silicon. For this reason there seems to be a "RT1060-with USB Fix" version of the RT1060. I did not see such a version of the RT1176. Though there is a RT1176-B silicon version with less USB bugs. So I guess I should use this B-version.

But there is no evaluation board using the B-silicon. Even the MIMXRT1170-EVKB uses A-silicon version (MIMXRT1176DVMAA in stead of MIMXRT1176DVMAB).

So how can I start to develop this? Is there a suitable evaluation kit?

Hi @simmania ,

RT1170 Version B is primarily intended to fix ERR052351 and ERR050643.
You can find more details in this AN: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN14716.pdf

The RT1170-EVKB is suitable for your application scenario.

Best regards,
Gavin
