The Industrial Communication Explorer cannot enable EtherCAT

When I was using Industrial Communication Explorer, I failed to enable the EtherCAT function for the network card. JDK 21.0.8.9 and Npcap 1.84 have been installed and added to the system environment variables.

Please help me figure out what the problem is. Thanks!

Are you using an example project? If so, which one?

Could you share the steps you follow to set up EtherCAT in the Industrial Communication Explorer?

Could you share the steps you follow to set up EtherCAT in the Industrial Communication Explorer?

Ethan：

Following UG_10361 & UG10322_Rev.2.0

step1: download rt1180_cm33_cm33.elf to MIMXRT1180-EVK using MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning.

step2: Switch to QSPI FLASH mode, Connect ETH0 to the PC(WIN10), power on

step3: In the decompressed "Industrial-Communications-Explorer\ICE\port-ICE-202509180853-lwin32.win32.x86-64" directory, create the directory "ecat".

step4: Copy the ecatproxy.exe file located in the Industrial-Communications-ExplorerICE ecatproxy-rel-20252609v2|ecatproxy |win directory to the Industrial-CommunicationsExplorer\ICE\port-ICE-202509180853-win32.win32.x86_64\ecat directory.

step5: Open ICE, Select the network card, right-click, and click Enable EtherCAT,

Pop-up message: EtherCAT proxy could not be started

Hi @ethan_dang1,

I noticed that in the first image you shared, the folder containing ecatproxy.exe is named “ect.”

Could you please help me by renaming this folder to “ecat“ and testing it this way?
