      <title>Boot From Flash</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I am using i.MX RT1170 EVK and MCUXpresso.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are examples of LVGL in the i.MX RT1170 EVK SDK examples. There are 2 flashes on this EVK: Quad Flash and Octal Flash. And the program boots from flash.&lt;BR /&gt;But I want to know which flash the program boots from. I couldn't find any explanation or snippet of code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, a flash driver was loaded while setting the memory areas.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="SpeedyGonzalesss_0-1703227339784.png" style="width: 400px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.nxp.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/255617i421BDE7554B7D7E2/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="SpeedyGonzalesss_0-1703227339784.png" alt="SpeedyGonzalesss_0-1703227339784.png" /&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-caption" onclick="event.preventDefault();"&gt;SpeedyGonzalesss_0-1703227339784.png&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looking at the QSPI expression here, can we say that Quad SPI is used?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am sharing the attached SDK example as an example. Can you help me decide which Flash is used for boot purposes?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unless you have modified the EVK the QSPI is used.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The octal flash can only be used after soldering in some zero ohm resistors (and removing others) as specified on its circuit diagram&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;"OPTION1: USE QSPI FLASH(Mount R380/R399/ R386/R390/R392/R385,DNP R381/R378/R382/R389/R402/R377/R388/R391)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;OPTION2: USE Octal Flash( Mount R381/R378/R382/R389/R402/R377/R388/R391, DNP R380/R399/R386/R390/R392/R385)"&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mark&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
