I bought a second device for SLN-LOCAL2-IOT to experiment at home and did not manage to successfully install driver for this device. When I connect the SLN-LOCAL2-IOT device with the USB cable in the boxI get an error that Windows 7 (x64) could not find driver and in device manager I get a warning (see screenshot).

Could you provide me a solution how I can install the driver for this device? I did not find anything in the SDK I downloaded for this board.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Lorky

Hi @Lorky2 ,

Please use your company email to create the question post, instead of the 3rd part email.

Then you will have higher support priority.

After you use the company email to create the question again, you can @me, then I will help you in your company email question post.

Hi @kerryzhou

sorry currently I am not in the office, I did this in my vacation with my private device, the device driver is working with Windows 10 at work, but at home I don't use Windows 10, have only Windows 7 in use and tried with my private device.

My only question was where to find the device drivers for Windows 7 x64, cannot believe it does only work with Windows 10. But in the meantime I have a hardware problem, my device lost contact pin with TX UART6 pin on J26 pad, so I cannot use this anymore (I did a picture with relevant area on NXP PCB, but what I read it is difficult to impossible to "repair" this, because contact 12 of J26 pad was unsoldered)

Thanks & BR

lorky

Hi @Lorky2 ,

 Thanks for your updated information.

 Please refer to the UG:

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=SLN-LOCAL2-IOT-UG

You can find the system requirement is win10:

As you know, win 7 is very old, even Microsoft also don't support it.

BTW, MCU-LOCAL2-IOT is not recommended in the new design:

https://www.nxp.com/design/designs/nxp-edgeready-mcu-based-solution-for-local-voice-control:MCU-LOCAL2-VOICE

For new design, we recommend you use this solution:

https://www.nxp.com/design/designs/edgeready-i-mx-rt106v-based-smart-voice-user-interface-solution:SLN-SVUI-IOT

Wish it helps you!

If you have any new issues, please use your company email to create the question post in the future.

Best Regards,

kerry
