Flex CAN Self Test / Loop back mode

Hi,

I am trying to implement the self test mechanism for Flex CAN on RT1176 , for which I am using the internal loopback mode for implementing the self test of the Flex CAN module. However I would love to know if any failure causes can be detected for the same as the reference module does not give much of the details on the same.

I meant that if the Loop back fails to receive the message it transmitted, any mechanism on detecting the same.

Yes, in loopback mode errors can be detected.

Can you please elaborate on the same, will it be associated with the rx error mode signal or need to monitor any other source.

The reference manual does not give the clear answer.

The error detection is related to the methods described in 66.3.14 from the RM.
