Inline encryption engine(IEE) for External flash memory in IMXRT1170

Hi,

I am using IMXRT1170 Evk ,

can I use IEE(Inline encryption engine) for both encryption and decryption to read and write to the external flash memory ?
please find below image and can you tell us what is difference between 8.1.2 section from security RM manual and 7.10 section from IMXRT1170RM manual ?

IEE on flexspi is only capable of decryption, however, let me confirm if it is also possible to encrypt flexspi through IEE.

Thank you for your patience!
The IEE features on the SRM don't take the system limitations of RT1170. So IEE on RT1170 can only decrypt FlexSPI Nor memory.
