About the run DSP for RT500-CPS package

Hi NXP supporter,

I have a project with RT595S using the DSP, When I ran the DSP demo in RT595S-249FOWLP, the DSP can decode mp3, acc and VIT. But when I change the RT500 package to 141WLCSP, The DSP can only run VIT but can not decode mp3, It report the error code 16 ("unsupported format"), I checked the PIN map is ok.

Could you help me about it?

Please give me the full name of your working and can't working RT500 chip partnumber.

Eg:

MIMXRT5XXSFFOC
MIMXRT5XXSFFOCR
MIMXRT5XXSFAWCR

Then I can help you check more details.

Hi @ng_h_nhan0207 ,

You chip is MRT595SFAWCR.

From datasheet, WLCSP 141 just have 6 I2S, but FOWLP249 has 9 I2S, whether your MP3 decode use the I2S port which is not supported by the WLCSP141 package?

Please check your code, and associated with the datasheet for 141 PIN.

Chapter 5.3 i.MX RT500 Pinouts: 141 CSP package, can find the detail related I2S pins.

Dear Kerry,

Currently I use I2S5 for capture and I2S3 for render, and I checked the I2S ports, it is correct. When I run the DSP in FOWLP249, if wrong I2S port, the cmd return is, 12 -> 13 -> 16. But When I run DSP in WLCSP 141, the cmd return is 16 -> 12. some thing wrong in DSP image for CPS package.

Which detail dsp code you are using? From SDK code or not?
