MAX17260 Battery Connection or Removal Status in IMXRT 1050 controller

Hi,

I am using IMXRT 1050 micro controller and MAX 17260 chip for battery capacity reading.

Now i want to check whether battery is connected or removed.

As per the datasheet i am reading the register "CONFIG REGISTER" it is always coming value as 0x2210

In CONFIG Register(0x1D),

Bit positions:

0th bit D0 - Ber (battery Removal)

1st bit D1 - Bei (battery Insertion)

Can anyone please guide me how to get the connection or removal status of MAX 17260 battery.
