    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;did several measurements and soldering/desoldering on a custom boards, experiencing now imxq6p that goes very hot in abt 5 seconds at boot, so it looks to me as damaged. Luckily i have multiple boards, but it's the first time it's happen. Could the imx6qp be damaged ? Most i.MX6 part numbers withstand tree reflow cycles provided that the JEDEC standards are followed. You may find more information regarding the soldering limits on AN3298 (link below).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://cache.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/app_note/AN3298.pdf"&gt;http://cache.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/app_note/AN3298.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other kind of damages may also occur like ESD damage.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope this helps!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
