Cannot establish serial connection to Sabre AI

I get nothing from UART DEBUG. On my MacBook when I plug in the DB9 to USB Serial Adapter I see /dev/tty.usbserial.

screen /dev/tty.usbserial 115200

This works when connected to a different device I have.

When powering up or resetting I should see the bootloader logs, yes?

Also, what is the default (boot from SD) setting for S3?

I switched to my linux box and dmesg indicates

Still nothing when I use minicom or cutemon. Starting to think I have a bad cable. Will try your "test on PC" suggestion but need to round up the correct DB9 male/female converter..
