Multiple Cameras on iMX7D MIPI-CSI interface

Is it possible to connect multiple MIPI cameras to the iMX7D MIPI-CSI interface using the virtual channels and capture from both cameras simultaneously?

yes possible as described in sect.13.5.1.1 Features i.MX7D RM :

Support four channel virtual channels

The referenced document says:

- CSI can support up to one 24-bit parallel camera interface.

- MIPI CSI-2 Controller and PHT support 2 data lanes and 1 clock lane.

I imagine the question relates to the connecting of 2 MIPI CSI2 serial cameras. Is this possible ?

for virtual channels usage please refer to link

4 video capture using MIPI-CSI2 port

and file MIPI CSI-Memory flow.pdf on that link

CMOS Sensor Interface (CSI) is parallel interface and only

one camera can be connected to it.
