Performance problems after changing the linux kernel from version 3.10.53 to 4.1.15

We are facing a general performance problem with kernel 4.1.15. In general the applications seem to be about 25% slower than under Kernel 3.10.53. We are using the same UBoot for both kernels with the same DDR-RAM configuration.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Any ideas?

Also one can try with nxp official bsps from link below, they use kernel 3.10.53 with

uboot v2014.04 and kernel 4.1.15 with uboot v2015.04
