IMx6 SabreAI , the .config changes are reverting back

I am trying to enable some drivers in kernel of IMx6 Sabre AI , the following procedure I am using to enable a driver in kernel . But once u bitbake the image , the .config contents are reverting back, is there anything to modify apart from enabling driver in kernel?

Procedure :

cd  /home/carplay/Ext_Part2/yocto_build/fsl-release-bsp . setup-environment DISTRO=fsl-imx-x11 MACHINE=imx6qsabreauto source fsl-setup-release.sh –b build  bitbake linux-imx -c menuconfig cp /home/carplay/Ext_Part2/yocto_build/fsl-release-bsp/build/tmp/work/imx6qsabreauto-poky-linux-gnueabi/linux-imx/4.1.15-r0/build/.config /home/carplay/Ext_Part2/yocto_build/fsl-release-bsp/sources/meta-fsl-arm/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-imx-3.14.38/imx/defconfig copy the configuration save and exit. bitbake fsl-image-qt5
