topic omxplayer play issue in i.MX Processors

Dear NXP

my customer has a problem that omxplayer playing issue

Enviroment : I.MX6 Quad , Android :5.1.1_2.1.0 GA

i insert upper image as album art to mp3 file

but omxplayer can't play that mp3 file

Test Way :

1 : i delete album art image , omxplayer can play that mp3 file

2 : i insert the other image into mp3 ( album art ) , omxplayer can play mp3 file

3 : i insert upper image into mp3 ( album art ) , but omxplayer cannot play mp3 file

i wonder why some specific image file is can't play on omxplayer

other mp3 is same situation

upper image into album art --> omxplayer can not play that mp3 file

upper image remove from album art --> omxplayer can play that mp3 file

other image into album art --> omxplayer can play that mp3 file

could you reproduce this issue on the latest android version?

could you help check your issue as below? then tell me the result, thanks.

1)Check whether this issue is observed with PC media player, For example:
- KMPlayer (http://www.kmplayer.com/)
- VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)”

2)Check whether the same issue is observed in other Android benchmark device such as Nexus 7.

3)Check whether the issue exists when using Android Native player by running the below command on Freescale reference board.
- setprop media.omxgm.enable-player 0

Then run the test again.

4)Please check the media information with KMPlayer(menu to check the property of the video stream) and then check the multimedia release document to see if the video format is supported or not

that problem is omxplayer has a bug

i received patch file from FAE
