Hello Andy,

There is no public information on a potential Android 7 BSP release for the i.MX6. Come to think of it, I don’t think there is an official release date for Android 7either.

The Android 6 (Marshmallow) BSP was released not so long ago so unless you need features only to be available on Nougat I would recommend using Marshmallow.

Hi NXP,

Any update on an Android 7 release? Google already seems to be pushing 7.1 to Nexus devices in December.

Also Google certification on 6.0 ends on January 31st 2017, as far as I'm aware, so 6.0 is not realistic for new projects needing certification.

As Mikkel asked, is there any update on an Android 7 release for iMX6 please ? If no official date, does NXP wants to developp Android 7 BSP for iMX6 ?
