Avilavility of i.MX6S PCIeGEN2 port

Hi,

We have plan to use mSATA or CFast devices.

Is it possible to connect them to the i.MX6S PCIeGEN2 port?

I only concern about physical layer and I do not mention about drivers at this point.

Is there any difficulty for it?

The PCIe port of the i.MX6Solo processor is compliant with the PCIe Gen.2 specification at the speeds of up to 5Gbit/s. So, there should be no any problem.

Dear Autur,

Just in case, I want to confirm one more time.

I checked pin assignment of mPCIe nad mSATA. Please see attached materials.

As far as I know, some PCs actually has dual roll slot(mPCIe and mSATA).

Does i.MX6DL-SabreSD also support both?

In another word, does i.MX6 PCIe support SATA I/F too?

No, the Mini-PCIe connector of the i.MX6DL SABRE SD board does not support Mini-SATA. There is a separate SATA connector on the board.
