If i see core-image-minimal.bb,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SUMMARY = "A small image just capable of allowing a device to boot."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;IMAGE_INSTALL = "packagegroup-core-boot ${ROOTFS_PKGMANAGE_BOOTSTRAP} ${CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL}"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;IMAGE_LINGUAS = " "&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;LICENSE = "MIT"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;inherit core-image&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE ?= "8192"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So where is it getting all the packages from? But my question was where is the core-image actually?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Means, let me put it this way,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;core-image-sato&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;core-image-x11&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;core-image-base&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;core-image-minimal&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All the above recipes use "core-image" as inherited common image.
