Interfacing SSP1_DATA3 in imx287

Hi,

I am using imx287 EVK board with Linux 2.6.35 and also developing prototype board. On this board we are connecting ADC and there will be no need for audio and LCD pins.

ADC is 24-bit and connection are as follow:

ADC select line (DRDY)- SSP1_DATA3

ADC o/p line (DOUT) - SSP3_MIS0

ADC SCLK - SSP3_ SCK

ADC CS - SSP3_SS0

In one of the blog https://community.nxp.com/message/346045 I seen that SSP1_DATA3 is used as Boot for imx23. Is it same case for imx287?

No, the SSP1_DATA3 pin is not used for any boot purpose on the i.MX28 EVK board. However, lease note that it is used as the Power Enable GPIO signal for the Ethernet PHYs on the EVK board. So, be aware of possible conflict between Ethernet and ADC operation if using this pin for the ADC interface.
