    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to use H264codes,but the frame data is in YCbCr 4:2:2 format.&amp;nbsp; Do I need to translate it from&amp;nbsp; YCbCr 4:2:2 to YCbCr 4:2:0 first? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have seen the demo mxc_vpu_text. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in struct frame_buf *framebuf_alloc(int stdMode, int format, int strideY, int height, int mvCol)&amp;nbsp; function,there is&lt;/P&gt;&lt;TABLE&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;fb-&amp;gt;addrY = fb-&amp;gt;desc.phy_addr;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;fb-&amp;gt;addrCb = fb-&amp;gt;addrY + strideY * height;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;fb-&amp;gt;addrCr = fb-&amp;gt;addrCb + strideY / divX * height / divY;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;fb-&amp;gt;strideY = strideY;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;fb-&amp;gt;strideC =&amp;nbsp; strideY / divX;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;/TBODY&gt;&lt;/TABLE&gt;&lt;P&gt;it means that the demo is only favor of &lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: #f5f5f5;"&gt;planar&lt;/SPAN&gt; format, not &lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: #f5f5f5;"&gt;packed&lt;/SPAN&gt; format, am i right?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thank you very much.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi dongming&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it is not necessary to translate it from&amp;nbsp; YCbCr 4:2:2 to YCbCr 4:2:0,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but provide a 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 vertical formatted input YUV image with a&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;pre-defined size.
