topic Audio codec corruption/interference in i.MX Processors

I have audio working well on my board, and WAV files play nicely, but when I play an MP3 file or AC3/AAC audio on a video, I hear corruption in the audio. It sounds like distortion but it's still present even at low volumes. I am using gplay to play the files and I seem to have the right Freescale codecs installed. Does anyone have any suggestion what it might be?

Just to let you all know, this turned out to be caused by an old version of the Freescale audio codecs.

I installed the new ones and it works fine now.
