i.MX6 vpu firmware source code

Hi all,

I are developing an encoding application on i.MX6Q Sabre board using Freescale Yocto Project BSP code (imx-3.14.52-1.1.0_ga).

I would like to change rate control (quant param control) of macro-block level.

I think that it is necessary to change the firmware of the VPU. But, there are only a binary file (vpu_fw_imx6q.bin) of the firmware in yocto project.

Can I get the source code of VPU firmware or sample code from somewhere?

Unfortunately only the binaries are provided but an API is provided in order to work with the VPU firmware. You may find the following thread useful:

I saw the API. However, there are no macro-block level API.

In other words, are there no method for setting macro-block's quant param?
