Hi,

Can anyone share the link from where I can download the OrCAD Symbol file for iMX6 Dual Processor. I got an OrCAD Library file for iMX6 DualLite from this forum. Can I use the same?

And also please let me know, where can I find the details about the PIN variations in different iMX6 variants?

Hi Thilak,

You can go to our website to download the rCAD Symbol file for iMX6 Dual Processor. The i.mx6DUAL is not the same as iMX6 DualLite. The i.MX6 Dual is completely compatible with i.MX6Q, the hardware design is the same and also BSP is the same. The difference is that the i.MX6Q CPU has 4 cores and the i.MX6 Dual only has 2. The rCAD Symbol file for iMX6 Dual Processor you can download by this link Design files, including hardware schematics, Gerbers, and OrCAD files for i.MX 6Quad (i.MX 6Dual emulation) . You can see i.MX 6Dual Processors|Advanced 3D Graphics|NXP under the Printed Circuit Boards and Schematics - Schematics (4).

About the pin variations you can refer to our datasheet and reference manual document. Also you can use our IOUMUX TOOL, it will do help to you.

I have downloaded from the links you provided. I understand "SABRESDB_DESIGNFILES" are the exact reference file for iMX6 Dual Processor.

I just wanted to know whether the rCAD symbol file for iMX6D is explicitly available in the site. Because I was not able to find it. What I have done it is that I have copied the iMX6 symbol from the design cache of the "SPF-27516_C5.DSN" schematic.

Are there any link where only the library file for iMX6D is available? ..

Whatever you have provided now doesn't have the libraries explicitly so I have copied it from the schematic file. Is that fine?

Hi Thilak,

The i.MX6 Dual is completely compatible with i.MX6Q. So about the i.MX6D design you can refer to the i.MX6Q.
