It was the problem with the implementation. supply voltage for core 2&3 were disabled in the schematics. While assembling supply input was connected to core 2 & 3 and the output was shorted. Processor was taking about 3W extra. When we removed the output side short, it worked at negative temperatures

Hi,

We are running GPU test demo application supplied by freescale on our custom board having IMX6D processor. The test has been carried out at -20degC. The GPU application boots and application runs for some time, but image freezes after few seconds. The part selected has temperature range of -40 to 125degC. Please let us know what might be the problem.

-Santhosha RK

Hi Santhosha

this may be caused by ddr errors, so one can run ddr test on low temperatures

i.MX6/7 DDR Stress Test Tool V2.40

also recommended to check power supplies, as capacitors may work less

effectively at low temperatures and stability of 24MHz clock.

Best regards

igor

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.
