how to copy to flash

hi i.mx6 community

i have i.mx6 dl sabre board with this reference i made custom board and i am ready to port u-boot which is sabre board's u-boot

can i load u-boot.imx to RAM than copy to NOR FLASH (s29jl064h chip).

how to do this ?

Hi Saida

You can use MFG Tool provided by Freescale. It has support to update firmware on NOR FLASH.

Please use the enclosed MFG configuration as an example.

It loads U-boot to i.MX6 DRAM. Than You may use NFS, TFTP,

FAT SD to load and burn any image, assuming U-boot has the

needed drivers.

can you send any doc or pdf which gives procedure for this

this is my new board i am going to use arm ds5

i am following this procedure

1. load u-boot using arm ds-5 and run from ram

2.load u-boot.imx binary in to ram in another location than i will use cp command to write into nor flash

is this works ?

Saida, hi !

You may create SR via FSL Web in order to get some recommendations about U-boot

debugging with DS-5.
