Working on Ubuntu 10.04

I have followed the exact procedure i.e.,given in the manual, for flashing but the problem is with the modifiaction of the deafult environment

The error lead me to the file

/home/user/ltib/u-boot 2009.08/common/env_nand.c

from which I understand that I need to modify the entry point in the ROM while flashing within the code, something something etc.......

Can you help me get through this..
