Hello,

I try to set up the IPU of an i.MX6Q for putting out the content of framebuffer 0 to the LCD port of the IPU. At the moment, we supply 'video=mxcfb0:dev=lcd,ABC,if=RGB565' to the kernel command line ('ABC' is a string identifying the desired video configuration data which has been added to file mxc_lcdif.c), similar to the LVDS case, which is working fine. Of, course, in addition to that, the framebuffer has been configured using something like 'fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 720 480 720 480 16 -t 81584 8 8 8 8 32 36'.

My question is: is this the proper way to setup LCD port output? Is there something missing?

Best regards,

Helmut
