    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi all&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm developing a board with i.MX6SoloLite and I have a question about start-up sequence.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to know a copy mechanism to SDRAM from boot device such as SD card etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;During start-up sequence, U-boot that is got from boot device will be copied to SDRAM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, I think that their file formats are different.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How it can be copied ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there any description about the copy mechanism ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ko-hey&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;"&gt;The system boot up sequence is as following :&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL style="list-style-type: decimal;"&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;"&gt;ROM code copy 4K byte data (include IVT and DCD table) from &lt;BR /&gt; boot device to OCRAM.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;"&gt;Init the DDR base on the DCD table settings.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;"&gt;Load the u-boot form boot device and copy it to DDR.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;"&gt;Jump to DDR to executes the u-boot.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; So, for proper boot the U-boot image should contain the IVT and DCD. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have a great day,&lt;BR /&gt;Yuri&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.
