Using Yocto project for porting Ubuntu to IMX6

Hi,

We have got a IMX6 board. Can we use Yocto project to port Ubuntu/Debian to IMX6. Can we get any document which explains porting Ubuntu using Yocto.

Hi,

Yocto is used to create a custom ditribution for you. I think you can get Ubuntu for the iMX6 from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/14.04/release/ubuntu-core-14.04.2-core-armhf.tar.gz

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/14.04/release/ubuntu-core-14.04.2-core-armhf.tar.gz

Thanks for the reply. I think it is ubuntu rootfs (file system).Can i get any document which explains about using yocto for porting Ubuntu to IMX6. And also explains about customization of BSP.
