imx6 - u-boot binary format

Hi,

We are using imx6Q sabresd platform for our development with Linux 3.10.17_1.0.0-GA BSP.

Initially we used L3.0.35_4.** release based u-boot binary.

In L3.0.35_4.** release based binary, the boot able u-boot binary is u-boot.bin. But in Linux 3.10.17_1.0.0-GA, the boot able u-boot binary is u-boot-imx.

We would like to know, the difference between these two formats. Since in Linux 3.10.17_1.0.0-GA BSP also u-boot.bin is generated.

Please suggest us.
