IMX 28 Linux /etc/network/interfaces missing

Hi,

Am using IMX28 EVK along with Ltib Linux BSP 2.6.35. When i boot from the compiled images the /etc/network/interfaces is missing in root folder. Why is this happening? Is there any alternative file?

The freshly compiled Linux BSP image does'nt have Network folder and its components is /etc.

Its also lacking init.d folder which contains startup scripts and service command which is used to restart service...

What will be the problem??Should i change any setting in kernel config in order to get these?
