    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi chipexpert.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;After returning from WFI instruction,&amp;nbsp; 5% of our custom boards doesn't work properly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;For example, after calling WFI instruction, &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PWM&amp;nbsp; doesn't output any signal(always LOW or HIGH) until 1msec timer interrupt happens.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Is there any procedure for using WFI instructnion?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to use WFI instruction with iMX6 Solo processor?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our BSP is "Custom Board" based Collage(by Sophia Systems Japan).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Takafumi.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Takafumi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;yes, definitely it is possible (and necessary)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;to use WFI instruction with iMX6 Solo processor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would suggest to start search cause of this misbehaviour by narrowing&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;down possible reasons: software, hardware.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please start with SDK low power test (SDK/apps/power_modes_test)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and check if it will work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=i.MX6Q&amp;amp;nodeId=018rH3ZrDRB24A&amp;amp;fpsp=1&amp;amp;tab=Design_Tools_Tab"&gt;i.MX 6Series Platform SDK&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other option - run minimal image (without GPU,VPU, GUI).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This may point to power supply issues (spikes, bad filtering) on power lines.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;chip&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.
