I want to work SDMA with EIM on iMX6, but i didn't found that

From reference manual of i.mx6, in list of SDMA event mapping, no SDMA event for WEIM device. So external device connected to WEIM port can't trigger SDMA to work.

I think it's possible if SDMA can use mem to mem transfer.

(3)External device for WEIM

An external device on weim port should send a SDMA request to trigger or tell SDMA to begin to TX or RX. But in reference manual, this SDMA trigger for weim deive is not metioned.

I think SDMA trigger(TX,RX) can work by SW(program), not DMA request(external device event)

(2) MEM to MEM transfer

-> how can i use SDMA MEM to MEM transfer, my kernel source(linux 3.0.15) look like doesn't have mem to mem SDMA

script.

OK, we only have one way : using SW to start SDMA.
