Using different kernel source and toolchains with LTIB?

Hi all,

I have a question, which I had asked at a Freescale workshop, the answer I got was 'Yes' but I would like to see if you agree as I am having difficulty, the question follows.

Can I use LTIB to build my kernel from the source provided from a different i.MX53 BSP? The reason I ask is that I am using a second i.MX53 dev kit as a target platform and the build tools are non-existent. I have been provided with a tool-chain and kernel source as part of their BSP, which I can build manually, as instructed :(

LTIB has spoilt me
