My application is a low latency HD decoder. I am interested if anyone can comment as to the latency of decoding a 720p H.264 video stream from the network (RTSP). I would like to know what the expected latency is out-of-the box for the Freescale Gstreamer elements. I have been digging around and found a min_latency setting for the vpudec element that looks like something I would want to use. Can anyone give me some expectations. I am looking for less than 500 ms end-to-end.
