Crystals usually are cheaper.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Package Size. It depends on real considered parts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Start-up time. It depends on real considered parts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Additional pins, elements.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Crystals require extra circuitry (capacitors), that can affect the frequency accuracy and stability.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Oscillators require power voltage (and GND), but their accuracy and stability are specified.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Drive Level – when using an external oscillator its signal level should match &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;input specs of processor.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks Yuri&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The main concern i have is Jitter of 24MHz clock to IMX6.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently I'm using SiLAB clock generator IC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is very hard to find ~1.1V , 24MHz clock generator IC. So ended up using potential divider to bring down to 1.1V.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This causing big difference in Jitter.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm planning going back to internal oscillator of IMX6. But what i heard is , internal oscillator is power hungry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm looking for specific details of power consumption.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Raju&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
