Hi all,

I've attached a GSM/GPRS modem to app uart1 of imx233. The modem is controlled by sending AT commands thru uart. Until now I was able to make calls, sms, ... by typing

$ 'echo "AT+..." /dev/ttySP1' on the command line.

Now that I've got Qtopia running on the device, I want to communicate with the modem using a GUI (like a dialer app). I see Qtopia has a dialer app, but I don know how to make Qtopia "identify" the modem. I'm just a newbie to QT...

Is there any easy way to send/receive AT commands/responses to/from the phone thru uart right from Qtopia ... I just wanna use my device in standalone without connecting to a PC...

Thanks in advance

--Dan

I have the same trouble. I'd like to do a dialer in Qt to manage 3G connection. Tks in advance
