We are working on the i.MX8QXPC0 (C0) platform using Yocto Scarthgap (LF 6.6.x BSP) and imx-mkimage.

We are trying to integrate OP-TEE OS (4.4.0.imx) into the final boot image (flash.bin) so that OP-TEE runs as BL32 in the secure boot chain.

However, we need clarification on the correct procedure to ensure OP-TEE is properly included and executed in the final boot flow.

1. I have followed the attached document. to enable OP-Tee for iMX8QXPC0.
2. Generated flash.bin with the following command "make SOC=iMX8QX REV=C0 TEE=tee.bin flash" & used this flash.bin alinf with full image.

Error: In Target
root@imx8qxpc0mek:~# dmesg | grep -i "optee"
[ 2.095346] optee: probing for conduit method.
[ 2.098599] optee: api uid mismatch
[ 2.100806] optee: probe of firmware:optee failed with error -22

Please check this. we are currently only using flash but not flash_spl. i am trying to generate and sue flash_spl.

I been following user guide og NXP PFA. Generate_flash and using and following the steps.

sudo make clean && make SOC=iMX8QX REV=C0 flash_spl using this command to generate flash.bin.

flash.bin is generated successfully. But once this flashed 100% that's it struck no done or nothing amd terminla is not coming out of it and also furthur wic flashing is not allowed.

Help me where could i gone wrong.

Below are the steps we are following

a. cp BUILD_DIR/tmp/deploy/images/imx8qxpc0mek/imx-boot-tools/bl31-imx8qx.bin iMX8QX/bl31.bin
b. cp BUILD_DIR/tmp/deploy/images/imx8qxpc0mek/imx-boot-tools/mx8qxc0-ahab-container.img iMX8QX/
c. cp BUILD_DIR/tmp/deploy/images/imx8qxpc0mek/imx-boot-tools/u-boot-imx8qxpc0mek.bin-sd iMX8QX/u-boot.bin
d. cp BUILD_DIR/tmp/deploy/images/imx8qxpc0mek/imx-boot-tools/u-boot-spl.bin-imx8qxpc0mek-sd iMX8QX/u-boot-spl.bin

a. Copy the scfw_tcm.bin to imx-mkimage/iMX8QX
b. sudo make clean && make SOC=iMX8QX REV=C0 flash_spl

Note : current Target which we are using iMX8QXPC0

The error is related to a mismatch between the OP-TEE OS, U-BOOT or ATF version, I recommend you to build again your image following the latest yocto users guide because It keeps all versions aligned.

OP-TEE is enabled by default in this release.
